Effective July 1, 2012 If you are currently selling a home in the City of Reading, or plan to in the future, the city has enacted its Certificate of Transfer Ordinance. What does this mean to you as a seller? Simply put, you have to fill out and sign an application to verify the zoning and permitted use of your property. This is free to all sellers and really easy to do. All you have to do is click on the link below to download the application. Fill out the application and sign in then mail it to the address on the application. The city will send you back a verification letter. Once received, make sure your agent gets a copy for our files. Now you are good to go! This applies to all homes currently listed as of July 1, 2012 and for all homes that are listed after this date.
